Customer Reviews:
GL waste of money September 17, 2008 After owning a Black & decker reflex strimmer for 12 years & thinking they were fantastic I opted for the New GL model as it felt realy comfortable to use & well balanced. I had read these reviews & thought twice about it but decided that at least if it was rubbish I would take it back. As the previous review states the motor got quite hot with use and after 3 months of light use the motor stopped driving the belt (probably due to the pulley burning out or spinning on the shaft! Took it back to Argos & got my money back. I'm staying away from Black & Decker rubbish now!!!

Great product when it works. As mentioned by others the design is very poor and as soon as it gets hot the band that links the motor to the cutter breaks. This happens after relatively light use.
Doesn't do what is says on the box July 31, 2007 16 out of 16 found this review helpful
Like all the B&D products I've bought, this disappoints. Constantly breaking down, you would be better off with a scythe. Simply doesn't work if you are expecting to get out there and strim for an hour. B&D should do a lot more to deliver a quality product, not this badly-engineered failure.
