Single sleeve 13mm keyless chuck with automatic spindle lock. 22 position adjustable torque control with hammer action. It is variable speed with forward and reverse. It drills up to 50mm holes in wood and with conventional rotary drill bits and up to 16mm holes in masonry with conventional percussion drill bits. It can also drill up to 13mm in metal. It can be used for screwdriving using the 6mm shank screwdriver adapter and bits.

A well engineered drill. I had brought mine a few years ago and it works just fine. When they first came out they had a 2.0Amp NiCd (nickel cadmium) battery, but 2.4A packs were later introduced. Good for all around work with a strong motor, very quick 1hr charge with 10min quick charge. If you can afford it, it's a good drill to go for, it really depends on what you will be doing with it. It is a fairly heavy drill, so if your going to be drilling in wood and occasionally into masonry - you may well be worth getting a 14.4V drill instead. This was introduced as stated back in 2004 and much improvement has gone into this. If you look around you may find those with a Ni-Mh/ Li-Ion battery which hold its charge for much longer than the Ni-Cd packs. This drill has 3 gears, which has been incorrectly stated.
