You'd be better off buying a goat September 16, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
... it will be easier to manoever, collect better, and probably cut more evenly, too. And you don't have to pick bits of grass out of its air intakes.
OK, goats can't hover, but as other reviewers have pointed out, once the grass box has anything it, neither can this. You won't get the little window either, which is probably a plus since your nose has to be touching it to see anything.
Seriously, don't buy one of these. I wish I hadn't.
flymo vision compact 380 July 23, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
What a tragic piece of design, the mower cuts grass and then dumps it in clumps all around the garden. The suction intake at the rear of the machine cloggs repeatedly during mowing and as the unit fills with grass it's like wrestling bear. Flymo must have known this when they designed it but carried on anyway. I've returned mine after 2 weeks of use. What a load of rubbish.

Bought this to replace a previous, wheeled Flymo (Venturer 320) which had fallen apart. Was impressed by the advertised cable storage and hover ability but in practice neither are up to much. The cable has to be unwound all the way and then plugged into the mower, and then a loop put over a hook. Why not provide a permanent connection to the mower? The hover ability worsens as the grass box fills and then the mower is heavy and awkward to manoeuvre. The worst 'feature' though, is the way it sprays grass everywhere. My previous Flymo had a much smaller collection box but at least it collected almost all the grass it cut, provided the box was emptied regularly. The 330 sprays grass cuttings from under its body, even when the box is completely empty. This seems to be made worse when the grass is lush - then the cut grass compacts and sticks to the underside of the cutting area, severely reducing the space from which grass is collected and transported by the vortex to the box. When you've finished cutting the grass, there is then a lot of cleaning to do, including the area below the grass box which has lots of nooks and crannies that collect grass. When that's all done, the paths need sweeping to clear the cuttings thzat the mower has deposited. In short, I believe this to be a very poorly designed product which takes several steps backward from the previously owned model. I certainly won't be recommending it!
Flymo Mower April 25, 2005 34 out of 43 found this review helpful
Purchased previous model to this, basically the same design with some fancy bits added. Heavy, not very good on slopes, but cuts OK.I only use it twice or three times in the year mainly to cut grass over the winter and pick up leaves / debris off the lawn in spring and autumm. Find it works well picking up leaves if pulled backwards.

i read the two reviews and was very scare to buy this product, but it was in a sell so i thought in for a penny in for a pound. just finished using this hover mover, and found it to be a top mover. it done my lawn in half the time then my old mover. i really hate mowing the lawn, but after using this product, it was a dream come true. the product i used was the 350. i do not know if there is a big different between this and the 350, but when full, no problem using it and i am no weight lifter, just a 36yrs old man with a beer gut to be proud off!! it was very easy to tell when full with the viewer,as the grass stopped flying about through the viewer.done a great quick job, and the extended 2yrs insurance guarantee on top of the year guarantee for 29.99 is great value.for the price you pay, it does what it say on the tin. the only reason why i did not give it 5 stars, was that the few bits that came with it , there was no where to put them.but for that price you will get a what you pay for.
