Great to keep as reference August 1, 2001 24 out of 24 found this review helpful
I have had this book for about 6 years now, when I first got interested in breeding, now after new additions to our Canine Family and 5 wonderful litters(not without problems)I still find myself refering to this book occasionally. I would recommend it to anyone before getting into breeding as it's not all 'fluffy pups' and happy endings, if I were to 'knock' the book at all I would say it didn't say too much about what may go wrong.
Highly recommended by a Breeder February 8, 2001 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
I am just ordering this book now as it has been highly recommended by a breeder. I want to breed my English Springer Spaniel, Molly, and was told to use this book as my bible.
Every bitch owner should have this book! December 24, 1999 7 out of 8 found this review helpful
A super book packed with in-depth information, but written in language that the layman will easily understand. Not just for breeders or those with entire bitches, it explains more about the bitch than I learned in years of working in veterinary practice. Anyone who wants to understand their bitch will find this book excellent value for money.
Everything you need to know about your female canine November 27, 1998 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Excellent read! This book is not only for those interested in breeding. It is a book that covers every aspect of the antomy and phisiology of a female canine. Great book to use for a reference and it will be referred to again and again!
