Nothing to Lose comments about Reacher October 6, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have read all of Lee Child's books to date and thoroughly enjoyed them all. They move along at a cracking pace and there's so much action I never get bored. However, am I the only person who is starting to get obsessed about how often Reacher changes his undies?? In Nothing to lose he changes them once! Nor is there any mention of him washing them or even rinsing them out. I'm sorry but I can go with buying new clothes every time he wants to change them (every few days) but come on! Undies need more attention than that. If he wants to creep around and not be noticed so he can stealthily reccie situations he'll need to be a bit more regular with his underwear or else his aroma will give him away!!
My first Lee Child book September 25, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This was my first Lee Child book (Just bought the first one). I got into it straight away and was quite shocked to see some of his loyal fans give low scores. Highly recommend this book as the story stayed with me for a long while before I went out and bought the first book. I can only assume some fans have OD on the series, I guess they will be replaced by new fans like me. Look forward to the series....
Not his best but still better than the rest! September 17, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I am a huge Lee Child fan and think that Jack Reacher is one of, if not the, best thriller character around. So, while I agree that this isn't Lee Child's best book, I still think it's miles better than any other thriller writers out there and really enjoyed it! Can't wait for the next installment!
Sadly a very poor book September 11, 2008 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have read all of Child's 'Jack Reacher' books. Sadly this was the first one that left me very flat. Like a previous reviewer the constant returning from Hope to Despair and Despair back to Hope became exceedingly boring. I have loved this series from book 1. Lee Child has created an outstanding character, he has a very mean streak and is highly dangerous. I do hope his next book is a great improvement and Child returns to a pulsating storyline that will keep me up half the night, if not Jack will be past his sell by date.

I agree with the other reviews. This is certainly not up to his standard. The first one I have not enjoyed. Usually Lee Child's books are excellent. Gail VillarNothing to Lose
