James Adams, the greatest super hero of all time? December 31, 2005 7 out of 11 found this review helpful
Maybe he isn't the greatest super hero, but Robert Muchamore's creation of the hero of our books, James Adams, is a figure many teens can relate to; this is the marvel that has made the series such a hit. Every kid dreams of being a spy, thanks to the Alex Rider series that proved that, but we could never relate to Alex, he was special, trained since birth, spoilt; but James Adams is just an every day kid, beloning to a secret government branch called CHERUB. Where children from 10-16 spy for the government and aim to put the criminals behind bars. The Killing is a thrilling adventure with James Adams going undercover with fellow cherub Dave Moss, the mission is to discover how a small time crook is suddenly flashing big bucks. But all changes as a link is made to an eighteen year old boy who may know the truth, the only problem, the boy fell from a rooftop died a year earlier. This stunnning novel will keep you reading until the small hours of the day.
Read this book! September 22, 2005 13 out of 15 found this review helpful
The 4th book in the series is every bit as good as the others, if not better. With cars, girls, money and trouble around every corner as the basis of every great spy story this book has got those bases covered. And alongside this are the odd details that give the CHERUB series that special touch to seperate them from other child spy stories - the down to earth points that make the story all the easier to relate to. Even if you don't do anything else this afternoon then you should get this book! (Recommend it to your local library, that way more people can read it and you can save the world 1 tree at a time)
