Bosch ART 26 Cordless Line Trimmer August 30, 2008 Yep, not used for 5 months, and very little at that and needs a new battery. Cheapest I can find is 44.OO so won't be doing that! Shame because it was good when it worked. Anyone want to buy a new pack of blades? (They were from B & Q by the way)
A good compliment for the Cordless Lawnmower June 14, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought this trimmer at the same time as buying the Bosch Rotak 37 Li cordless lawnmower. The Trimmer uses replaceable plastic blades as opposed to nylon line. I have previously used nylon line trimmers and found it difficult at first to get used to this product. However after a few uses use I now find it every bit as effective. One advantage is that the blades are very easy to replace. (My wife is absolutely delighted in this respect) The trimmer is very light and powerful. So much easier as you would expect without a power cord. The 18V Lithium battery is more than adequate. It uses the same battery as my PSR 18V Li-2 Battery Drill which is a bonus. Lithium batteries have the advantage of not loosing much charge whilst in storage. You can therfore charge the battery after use ready for the next time. To change from trimming to edging the unit is fitted with a foot pedal. I find this a liitle bit more awkward than some swivel heads I have used. Overall I reccomend this product to anybody seeking a battery trimmer
Terrible waste of money! September 19, 2007 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
Those plastic bits were horrific. We got through 3 or 4 blades per session and then were unable to obtain spares. I think it was not the product it was advertised as. It's probably OK for grass cutting on awkward mounds and humps - BUT definitely NOT for doing the edges.
Absolutely Useless! September 12, 2007 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
I wish I had never bought this and instead bought a petrol 2-stroke trimmer. I do not know what runs out first: the silly plastic blades or the battery. If I am lucky I get about 20 minutes worth of battery to 2 blades. On the box power is given in distance - what use is that! You need to know how many minutes you've got before the battery is flat. Perhaps someone could make metal blades to last longer. Or have I got extra tough grass. Do not buy!!
Better than the Rest June 9, 2007 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
Very good Product. I agree that the blades break off when you hit something, but many other products I have used have been a lot worse. The motor is very powerfull for such a light product. Also can use the battery in my drill :)
