Best audio book ever! January 10, 2008 This book is fantastic! And it's incredibly well read by young Ben - he really sounds like he is the main character in the book. I usually don't like audio books much if they are not a full cast dramtization, but I was hooked on this one from the start. My sons loved it too and we listened to it every morning on the way to school. Brilliant!

This is a beautiful narration of a truly compelling story. I often sat in my car for half an hour at the end of my journey because I couldn't turn it off!

Fantastic book, read wonderfully. I'm only half way through and already been reduced to tears a number of times, which is quite embarrassing when your sat in traffic!

I studied Aspergers at University, I have a brother who is Aspergers, so I know something about it. This book was an excellent presentation of the life of someone who has Aspergers, without being sentimental, innaccurate or over dramatic. Read between the lines and see the problems there are living with someone who is Aspergers, but also understand the difficulties of that persons life. I loved this, and think it ought to be compulsary reading for anyone wanting to know more about the disorder. It makes you realise how much our lives are goverened by subtle expressions that we all take so much for granted, and how hard life can be. Mark Haddon really got in to the mind of some one, and his observations were spot on. Having worked at Twycross zoo I especially like the references to it, and can attest to the accuracy....
